A medium size, rugged construction 240V electric heater that can withstand the uses and abuses of non-residential use. Fabulous, sturdy design makes it ideal for commercial use in warehouses and extra high traffic areas. Takes about 5 minutes to get the heavy duty coil up to full heat, but when it's going it's really going. You can feel it's hotter than a 110V heater and you can feel the heat from further away. Bare in mind though, that you need a 15 Amp 220V/240V wall outlet, this isn't going to fit (or run) in a 110V socket. You need a wall socket that can take a plug with this pin layout  .

No. The heavy duty refers to two points. 1 - it is construction grade, it's made from metal as opposed to the plastic finish of residential heaters. 2 - It outputs TWICE the heat of a typical residential space heater (which for heat output makes it equivalent to getting 2 of the DCH1030 heaters. |
