Operates without electricity during power outages - this Blue flame heater is an excellent heat source during uncomfortable winter periods because the heater still heats when the electrically powered blower is inoperable.
Easy to install. Tools required: phillips screwdriver and pipe wrench. Feet kit (shown in picture) and wall mount bracket options are both included with the heater.
Too large (by building code) for use in bathrooms or bedrooms. Not certified for use in recreational vehicles
Safety is an important factor with any heat source and this Blue flame heater, has a built-in low oxygen shut-off sensor (ODS system) that shuts the unit down if it ever detects a possible problem.
The blower is built in so you get big savings when compared to the equivalent sized heaters without the blower such as DESA's. Not only do you save the 39 dollar price of the blower but you don't have the added task of taking the cover off of the heater to install the blower yourself.
Operates during power outages without electricity, in this non-electric mode, the heater works without the blower.
The ignition system is battery powered. Simply unscrew the ignitor button to insert the battery.

Q. What's the difference between the red flame and the blue flame models ?
Blue flame heats air molecules, and tries to heat the entire room to a fairly uniform temperature so somebody sitting 10 ft from the heater should be about the same temperature as someone sitting 5 ft from it. Infrared heat heats objects rather than air, it is like a fire, the closer you sit the warmer you are. Infrared is a good choice for drafty rooms, rooms lacking good insulation or suffer frequent opening of exterior doors, and/or have soaring ceilings.
Q. Does it have a thermostat ?
Yes, the thermostat is the little knob on top in the picture.
Q. Does it come with the blower already installed ?
